Balsam Poplar (Populus balsamifera) Bud Hydrosol 100ml

The resinous, sweet-smelling buds of the balsam poplar tree are stream distilled to produce this beautiful hydrosol. The hydrosol is high in salicin, which is a precursor to salicylic acid, the active ingredient in Advil. For this reason, the hydrosol is great to spray on sore muscles or joints to help alleviate pain and swelling. The smell often reminds people of springtime or camping, as these trees are common to the Boreal Forest of Manitoba.
